McIntyre speaks up for women in Iran
Anthea McIntyre MEP, a client of Furbisher Media Ltd, has made a passionate plea for the rights of women in Iran.
The West Midlands MEP was speaking in the European Parliament at a Friends of a Free Iran meeting, attended by Maryam Rajavi, President elect of National Council of Resistance of Iran.
She said: "I am speaking as a woman, a free woman, a woman who can choose what to wear, choose where to walk, choose who to marry and can make my political views heard. I believe human rights and women rights should be the main benchmark for Europe when deciding on its policy vis-à-vis the Iranian regime."
